Our mission

Our mission is to become the benchmark public sector shared service company for the UK.

Our focus is on delivering 4 levels of transformation for each Partner:

Transforming services through the use of technology
We have delivered a new SAP platform across the authorities to improve the Procurement, Finance and Human Resources services whilst at the same time delivering significant efficiency savings.

Efficient delivery of Southwest One services
By investing in people, processes and technology we deliver back office services which are consistently reliable and cost less.  The savings can then be redirected to enhance frontline services for our Partners.

We are also delivering significant cashable savings for each Partner by introducing "category planning" within our new Strategic Procurement Service.

Improving public services through multiagency working
We have produced for our Partners comprehensive proposals for making best use of our combined resources in the community.

Social and Economic development
An intrinsic part of Southwest One's mission is to make an active contribution to the social and economic development of the region served by our partners.
